Steven served as a bi-vocational pastor and marketplace leader in Education and Leadership for more than two decades before receiving a clear call from God to “equip the church” in 2019. Shinnie is a seasoned Christian counselor with specialization in trauma. Together, they led two churches in India while holding various leadership roles in the marketplace before the Lord ordered their steps to Hong Kong and then to Canada in 2021. Steven has completed his Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Theology from Tyndale University, ON and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry from TWU. They have two daughters, Sheena and Sara and a pet poodle Watson.

Dave and Patti Thomas are long standing members of the church. Dave and Patti have served God in the care and education of children. They both have taught Sunday School for many years.  Dave retired in 2023 from a career in banking and currently serves as board chair of The King's School. Patti has over four decades in Christian Education and currently serves as an administrator in a local Christian school. Dave and Patti have four children, one grandchild and one on the way.

Viji and Rita grew up in Christian homes in Africa & Asia respectively. Almost three decades ago, the Lord enabled them to plant churches in India, while working full-time in the marketplace. In 1995, they sensed God’s divine leading to migrate from India to Canada and join The King’s Community Church. Viji works as an Account Manager in a Sales role with a German Chemical distribution company. Rita recently retired from Fraser Health. Their son, daughter-in-law & two grandchildren, live in Powell River. Viji was commissioned as Elder in March 2020. Seeking the Kingdom of God and discipleship are two areas of passion in their lives.

Kiong and his wife Kathleen relocated from Malaysia to Canada late 2021. Kiong completed his Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and spent over 30 years working as an engineer in Malaysia’s oil and gas sector before later completing his MA in Leadership at Trinity Western University. They also lived in Paris for a year during his career journey. Kathleen serves as an ECE Assistant in a local daycare centre. Their son and daughter both graduated from UBC and now work in Burnaby. As a couple, they enjoy travelling, spending time outdoors, and building meaningful friendships wherever God places them.
